- Determination of the optimal composition / dosage of pheromone components ⇒ investigation of repellent effects.
- Interference / prevention of Varroa mating in laboratory tests by overdosing pheromones or repellent substances.
- Examination of chemical characteristics of the substances that tested positive (IS Insect Services GmbH).
- Determine optimal application technologies (IS Insect Services GmbH).
- Investigate possible adverse reactions for bees.
- Interference / prevention of Varroa mating in especially treated host bee brood cells within the bee colony.
- Application of sex pheromones or repellents in micro-colonies in the field.
- Testing sex pheromones or repellents in commercial colonies in the field.
